Street Boys and Girls of Ojai
an opera
written,
directed and produced by
the
sensational Tommy
Separdi the
sensational
Jennifer and Jacob
are abandoned by their mother,
a phoney ex-high
school cheerleader and homewrecker,
who deserts
them and their father, a schoolteacher, for another man,
a Navy vet, Presbyterian elder, Rotarian and
accountant.
In order to
express their disapproval of their mother and her yuppie lifestyle,
Jennifer and Jacob
drop out and become ‘wretched-like’ street people,
actually
social crusaders,
singing about
their plight on the streets of Ojai.
They sing
about their mother’s duplicity
cloaked in an
air of respectability.
Fantastic! Great script! Great direction!
Great musical
compositions!
