Xandra Faust, a native of Skiatook, Oklahoma, departed on April 5, 2011. Xandra was born on April 30, 1931 in Skiatook. She attended Skiatook elementary and secondary schools, Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and University of Tulsa. Xandra was a pianist, interior designer, homemaker, home gardener, gourmet cook and philosopher. She was also a filmmaker and lecturer on interior design, gardening, homemaking and coping with life. Xandra's father was Carl Brinlee, Skiatook bank president. Her mother was Thelba Olive Brinlee. The Olives were native citizens of Eastern Oklahoma and were in the funeral home business. Xandra was married to Tulsa banker Richard Franklin Faust, by whom she sired two sons Lee Faust and Clay Faust. Following her husband's death, Xandra worked in the admissions department of St. John's Hospital in Tulsa and for a Tulsa based oil & gas company before returning to Skiatook to care for her ailing mother. Xandra's parents, her husband, her son Clay and one grandaughter preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Lee Faust and six grandchildren: Jennifer Faust, Andre Faust, Aaron Faust, Emily Faust, Brinlee Faust and Lillee Faust. She is also survived by two cousins: John Hall and Susie Cox. Xandra had an abiding spirit and tried to bring comfort and peace to those with whom she came into contact. Cremation was arranged by Sein-Shelton Funeral home. |
