Precepts of American Humanist Buddhism

Peace

Be of one mind,
Having compassion for one another.
Be wise, stronghearted and courageous.
Be courteous, even when others are not.
Not returning evil for evil,
Not reviling for reviling.
That you may thus find peace.

Are you really a Christian?        Are you really a Jew?

quiz yourself

I renounced the Christian faith when I became a man,
because I observed that those practicing Christianity were hypocrites,
including those I worshipped with at the Presbyterian and Episcopal Churches.
I also renounced the Jewish faith because I do not believe in
the institutions of sexism, slavery or racism,
which institutions are reinforced through the Jewish faith!

My stepfather and others who defiled me were of the Christian & Jewish faith.

I also consider Islam to be barbaric, sexist and incompatible with democracy.
The Koran reinforces sexism, racism, slavery, violence, murder and hate.

Yours truly, Tom Blaise de Shepherd  a/k/a Tomas Blasco de Separdi

The Eight Basic Precepts

1. The consumption of  acoholic beverages, including wine, is considered unwise. The use of tobacco, hallucinogens and other mind-altering drugs is considered foolish. Those who manufacture and distribute alcoholic beverages, hallucinogens and other mind-altering drugs are considered enemies of freedom, for alcoholic beverages, tobacco and mind-altering drugs do not free people, they enslave people. Red wine is
not a health food. It is a brain-disabling poison that inhibits rational thinking. Consume red grapes, not red wine.

2.  It is the responsibility of every educated adult to continue to educate one's self and to provide free education to others. Education shall be non-competitive, universal and free.

3. A predominantly vegetarian diet, supplemented with seafood and poultry is the recommended healthy diet of all people.

4. All venereal infections, including herpes, syphilis, gonorrhea, and the AIDS virus can be contracted through oral, anal and vaginal intercourse. Wise is the individual who learns early on in life to practice celibacy. It makes no difference whether your mate or partner is male or female; to engage in promiscuous sex is to put yourself
and your partner at risk. Since virtually all people are possessed with a capacity for bisexual behavior, the terms straight and gay are absurd.

5.  Marriage is a private contract between two people for the express purpose of creating and nurturing a child or children or for the purpose of sharing life.

6. Silent transcendental meditation is the recommended vehicle for achieving spiritual growth and wisdom.

7. Build houses, not prisons. Use tools, not weapons. Share the work and share the wealth.
It is the right of every human being to not be deprived of home ownership. It is only when our relations with one another are fully mutual and egalitarian that we become free and balanced human beings.

8. There is only one race, the human race.
                                         Philosophy:

The Universal World Congregation of Father Tom Shepherd, also known as The Egalitarian American Free Gentile Congregation, is the creation of  Thomas Mitchell Blaise Shepherd, Chancellor and President.

The rite of Baptism is unnecessary for membership.

The Bible (including The Torah, The Old Testament and the New Testament) and the Talmud and the Koran are recognized as barbaric, fascist non-democratic ideologiical manuscripts created for the purpose of legimitizing violence and enslaving the masses. All of the above documents have been used for the purpose institutionalizing sexism and slavery in its various forms.

Psychiatry is viewed as a barbaric tool of the state, utilized to discredit, to disenfranchise and to exploit those who oppose existing forms of fascism.

The rite of Holy Eucharist, symbolically drinking the blood of "Christ" in the form of wine,  is considered barbaric and uncivilized. It recinforcee the institution alcoholism.

The Nordic Universal Creed is recognized. All men and women are created equal, meaning they are to be treated as social equals. The practice of ethnocentrism, social stratification and competition is forbidden.

The resources of the Earth are to be equally shared by the people of the Earth.

Militarism is non-rational and uncivilized.  Militarism brainwashes young people in order to desensitize them to violence. It teaches them how to kill other people.  A wise and brave man and a wise and brave woman solves problems with tools, not with weapons of any kind.

SOBER, RATIONAL THINKING IS THE  KEY TO SPIRITUALITY.
What is The Torah?
Answer: It is a barbaric manuscript created by Ancient Jews,
used to justify Jewish Supremacy and enslavement of Non-Jews.

Biography of Bela Bartok

Note: Bela Bartok considered the trinity to be "clumsy folklore" that "enslaves thought."
He called the conception of God as a bodiless, everlasting Spirit, who has decreed
all that has happened in the past, and similarly ordains the future, to be a "muddled notion."
Jesus was a moralist. It was those who came after him that invented the trinity.. -- Bela Bartok

                                                                   The Tom Shepherd Story

Note: Congregation Founder Thomas Mitchell Shepherd is the grandson of Missouri bus line founder John A.Snyder and of Oklahoma banker and oil baron Eugene Frank Blaise. He is the son of Dudley Eugene Blaise Canterbury, American mining engineer, who abandoned the family soon after Tom's birth. He is the stepson of Charles M. Shepherd, a power company executive.Tom Shepherd is also the son of Hon. Clara Olive Shepherd, Church and civic leader and  musical theatrical producer for civic organizations throughout the USA.. He is the son - grandson of Mabel Mitchell Snyder, Joplin civic leader.

Mr. Shepherd is a great great grandson of
Hon. Ignace Hainer, jurist, journalist, linguist and secretary to the Premier of Hungary during Hungary's1848 struggle for freedom of the press, freedom for the serfs, freedom for the Jews,  and independence from the Austrian Hapsburg Empire. He was afterwards imprisoned by the Austrians for five months.

Following his release, Ignace Hainer came to America, where he was soon after appointed as a delegate to the National Convention, then to the position of professor of modern languages at the University of Missouri. He was asked to leave the Univesity during the Civil War because of his heroic opposition to slavery. He thus moved his family to "New Buda" (Garden Grove) Iowa, where he sojourned as a farmer, a teacher, a preacher, and as a member of the Decatur County Iowa Grand Jury.

Mr. Shepherd was baptised at six months of age, then schooled and confirmed in the First Presbyterian Church, Joplin, Missouri. He also attended Bible school at the United Hebrew Congregation in Joplin, then under the leadership of Rabbi Latz..

At the age of 12 he was confirmed in the Episcopal Church at the Parish of St. Philip the Apostle, Joplin, Missouri, whre he served as an altar boy and president of the youth group through high school. He was also selected to be citizenship chairman and president of a Council of Churches interdenominational youth organization, during which time he was highly praised for his leadeship in cementing bonds between the American Episcopal Church and the African-American Episcopal Church in Missouri..

He attended the School of Philosophy and Letters of the National University of Mexico in Mexico City, the University of Missouri and the Univerity of Oklahoma College of Arts and Science and the Graduate College, where he concentrated his studies in philosophy, political science, sociology and regional and city planning.

He served with the United State Marine Corps Reserve from the age of 17. He also served with the United States Coast Guard for three years, from which he received an honorable discharge for a psychiatric disability resulting from ongoing psychological torture by his Coast Guard instructors and shipmates.

He voluntarily separated himself from the Episcopal Church in 1970 after he was threatened and presecuted by members of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Del Mar, California for expressing his opinion as a Sunday School teacher that killing, even in time of war, is an un-Christian act, and because he was opposed to administering wine to children during the celebration of Holy Eucharist.

Tom, who was never involved in the drug culture and who was outspokenly opposed to the voluntarily use of drugs and alcohol, was disgusted in witnessing the rampant contraband drug use and  alcoholism of Episcopal Church clergymen and prominent lay people. After Tom suggested the Church do away with the customary sherry party that preceeded the Annual Parish Business Meeting,
he was threatened with bodily harm by a member of the parish.

Tom, who has a genius IQ,  has since formed The American Humanist Buddhist Fellowship and The Universal Free Gentile Congregation, based on his life experience.
